Amendments 1-2: Land Use and Capital Facilities

Amendment 1: Land Use Map

WHAT: The City is proposing a Comprehensive Plan amendment to add a table outlining the land use designations employed across Mercer Island. This table includes updates to the land use designations that would be created in amendments 8 and 15 (Private Community Facilities and Commuter Parking, respectively).

WHY: This Comprehensive Plan amendment would update and provide additional clarity on each of the land uses allowed in Mercer Island.


Amendment 2: Capital Facilities

WHAT: The City is proposing a Comprehensive Plan amendment to adopt the updated six-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).

WHY: This Comprehensive Plan amendment would update the City's plan for investing in capital improvements across the island, including improvements to streets, sidewalks and utility infrastructure.
