An Update on the Evaluation of Regional Fire Services Proposals

At the Mercer Island City Council meeting on June 6, the City Manager and staff will present an initial analysis of the proposals from two regional fire service providers: the City of Bellevue and Eastside Fire & Rescue. Materials for this agenda item can be found on the City Council agenda webpage (agenda item 17, AB 6283).

This information and an overview of the Regional Fire Services Proposals is being presented to provide the City Council with an opportunity to discuss the proposals and seek clarification on issues prior to the City Manager preparing a formal recommendation. The City Manager will prepare a recommendation to the City Council on the adoption of a Regional Fire Services Model, at which time the City Council may take action. The date for that meeting has not been set.

You can review the proposals from the City of Bellevue and Eastside Fire & Rescue at the link here. For additional information about the proposal, review the full Let's Talk page.
