City Council Adopts Deane's Children's Park Site Plan

Staff presented the Site Plan for Deane’s Children’s Park to the City Council at its April 7, 2026, Regular Meeting. The presentation provided an overview of the purpose of the Site Plan, the design principles that guided its development, a recap of the planning process, and a detailed summary of key elements, including play zones and surfacing strategies, proposed parking improvements, and the phasing approach.

Following review, the Council voted to approve Resolution No. 1692 (AB 6902, Exhibit 2), adopting the Deane’s Children’s Park Site Plan and directing that (1) the full extension of the accessible path to Island Park Elementary be included in Phase 1, and (2) Forest Surprise elements 26–30 be relocated.
