February 15 Snowstorm Update (8:00am)

(8:00am) With rain coming back into the forecast today, and the end of freezing temperatures, road conditions are much improved and all road closures have been reopened overnight. Crews will be working on trouble spots on the smallest residential streets today especially those with steep hills, and also clearing parking lots at some City parks.

Due to conditions on the smaller streets across the region, Recology has *canceled* recycling/compost/garbage service for today and currently plans to collect each neighborhood ONE DAY later. (This includes running collections on Saturday Feb 20, to service Friday’s normal accounts.)

When safe to do so, you can help prevent local flooding in your neighborhood by clearing out the storm drains along your street – there will be a lot of runoff to manage as the rain melts snow.

For 24/7, non-emergency assistance, please call the City's Dispatch Center at 425-577-5656.

For emergencies, always call 911
