Why are we amending the Comp Plan?
Share Why are we amending the Comp Plan? on Facebook Share Why are we amending the Comp Plan? on Twitter Share Why are we amending the Comp Plan? on Linkedin Email Why are we amending the Comp Plan? linkThe Mercer Island Comprehensive Plan establishes the City's goals for the future of the community. The Plan should be viewed as a dynamic document that is updated as community values, conditions and needs change. To this end, the City performs periodic reviews of the plan and amendments as changing conditions require and community input dictates.
Every year, the City Council establishes a list, or docket, of possible comprehensive plan amendments for further analysis and consideration. Review of the docketed amendments is conducted first by the Planning Commission, and then by the City Council.
City Council Resolutions 1534 and 1545 establish the list of potential comprehensive plan amendments placed on the docket for review in 2018.
