Crosslake Connection Opens March 28, 2026

Sound Transit has announced that the East Link light rail line is set to open for service on March 28, 2026. This completion of the 2 Line will connect Seattle and Bellevue, creating a fully integrated regional light rail system. The new segment includes stations at Mercer Island and Judkins Park, expanding transit options in those communities, with trains arriving roughly every eight minutes during peak times and every 10-15 minutes the rest of the day.

City staff are working in partnership with Sound Transit to plan an event at the Mercer Island Station to celebrate the official opening of the Crosslake Connection. More details to come, we hope you will join us!
