Shared Use Path - Phase 1 Design

September 4, 2025 - This week, City staff and the design consultant met for a site walk to review the alignment of the new shared use path between SE 60th Street and Island Park Elementary along the west side of Island Crest Way. The group discussed the proposed route and impacts to existing trees and vegetation. This first phase of path is funded through a Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) grant and will connect to the newly constructed pedestrian signal at Island Park Elementary. Design of the shared use path has reached the 60% milestone. The remainder of the design will be completed over the next year and construction is planned in 2027.
