May Updates on Project Construction
Project permits have been approved, and last week the Mercer Island City Council appropriated additional funds to complete the construction of the Luther Burbank Park Sport Courts Renovation (AB 6465). Now staff are executing the agreement with Tarkett Sports/FieldTurf USA, the parent company of Beynon Sports, and the King County Directors Association (KCDA) purchasing cooperative. The courts will close on May 21 to prepare for construction, which will take 12-14 weeks. Regular progress updates will be posted on Let’s Talk once construction begins.
