October 15, 2026 Construction Update

Crews began excavating trenches and installing the new 10-inch distribution main on Gallagher Hill Road. This waterline will replace the existing asbestos cement waterline before installation of the new 24-inch supply line. During the first few weeks of construction, one lane of Gallagher Hill Road will be closed, with flaggers directing alternating one-way traffic. Later, traffic will be limited to one uphill (southbound) lane 24 hours a day. Two-way traffic will remain open on SE 36th Street. Signed detours will direct eastbound drivers down Mercerwood Drive.
