GPS Map of Female Cougar in Duvall Area
previous next
“It’s relatively common that cougars spend some part of their life in residential areas. When they are in residential areas they do modify their behavior. Cougars are active throughout the day but when they are in residential areas they become almost fully nocturnal and they navigate the matrix of houses and roads and people largely at night. … They’re using suitable habitat within a matrix of residential development.” WDFW expert Brian Kertson presented two images, one a GPS location map of a female cougar living in the Duvall area and the other a subadult male living in the Snoqualmie Ridge development.
