Smoking and Vaping Increases Chances of COVID-19
previous next
A new study shows young people who reported ever having used a vaping device were five times more likely to test positive for COVID-19 than non-users. Recent state data from the Washington State Department of Health show young adults 20 to 39 represent a higher percentage of COVID-19 cases than any other age group in the state. According to the Washington State Healthy Youth Survey, this comes as vaping among adolescents and young adults in our state has also increased, with nearly 30 percent of high school seniors saying they use vapor products.
