The Puget Sound region is predicted to see a dramatic drop in temperature over the next few hours, creating the opportunity for a potential "Flash Freeze."

Wet roads can quickly turn icy as temperatures dip below freezing. These unexpected slippery conditions can make driving hazardous. Stay safe by:

  • Staying off the road whenever possible
  • Slowing down
  • Not using cruise control
  • Leaving plenty of following distance between you and other vehicles

Temperatures are predicted stay very cold throughout the weekend, with daytime highs below freezing through Sunday. Any chance for snow accumulation has greatly diminished but flurries may remain. Follow the National Weather Service or local media outlets for the latest weather information.

Safety Tips
